It was a cold, wet ride from Idaho to Montana and they hadn't seen the sun for three days. But John Rusk and John Mitchell finally rolled into Helena, where they headed straight for the capitol building to pray for the citizens of "the treasure state." Ringing in their hearts were words from Isaiah 62:10, spoken by members of a missions prayer group at
Federal Way:
Go through, go through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people;
Build up, build up the highway!
Take out the stones,
Lift up a banner for the peoples!
After praying for "stones" to be removed so that Montanans can come to the banner of the Lord, the two men settled for the night in the home of hospitable members of
East Valley church, Tom and Kathleen Murphy.
